Terms of Service
Last updated 9 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Snout. Snout is provided by Codeaxis Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15689322). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Codeaxis Ltd, and "you" means the customer using the service. By creating an account or running a scan, you agree to these terms.
The service
Snout runs a fixed set of buyer-intent prompts against ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini on a weekly schedule, records whether your business was mentioned and who else was, and shows the results in a dashboard and a weekly email. The free scan is a limited version for evaluation. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
- You must be at least 18 and authorised to accept these terms for your business.
Acceptable use
- One workspace per subscription, except the Agency plan, which covers up to ten client workspaces.
- Do not resell or provide the service to third parties except under the Agency plan.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or access it by any means other than the interface we provide.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful.
Plans, billing and renewal
Plans and prices are shown on our pricing section. Fees are in GBP and billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. If we change prices, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to your subscription.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Your access continues until the end of the month you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds except where required by law. We may suspend or end your access for breach of these terms or for non-payment.
Free scan
The free scan is provided for evaluation only. It is rate limited, comes with no guarantee of accuracy or availability, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Accuracy and no guarantees
AI assistants vary in what they say and change their answers over time. Snout's results are indicative and are not a guarantee of any ranking, mention, traffic or business outcome. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.
Intellectual property
We own the service and everything in it except your data. You keep ownership of the business data you enter, and you grant us the licence needed to process it in order to provide the service.
Data protection
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
The service depends on third parties including AI providers, hosting and payment processors. We are not responsible for their outages, changes or acts, though we will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your unlawful use of the service or from the data you provide.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the site. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
Either party may end the agreement at any time. On termination your right to use the service stops and your data is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
